Praise

"Brilliant! Once again, thanks for allowing your reality to be our fantasy. Thanks for bringing us into your realm for a little while and bringing us peace and tranquility. The English language does not have words to describe but you have yes “brilliantly” mastered them like no other. Didn’t think I would be a poetry fan but I am now. What an amazing gift from God you have. It is very difficult to put your works down due to anticipation. Absolutely stunning masterpiece, again!!!

"Once you start, you can't stop! Morgan Moeller has a great gift of using imagery and story telling. I started to read to just a few of the poems and found I couldn't stop...they were entertaining, inspiring and sparked the imagination. Definitely recommend. You don't have to be an avid poetry reader to enjoy.

Fun book of poetry! "I recommend Hallways to anyone. I am not a frequent poetry reader, but I really enjoyed these. When I say it is fun to read, the feeling I'm conveying is how it might be to ride upon a rabbit, which would be fun--fast-paced at times, cautious at others, while taking time to explore the created world around us. These poems provide that fun place to enjoy what the writer's creative mind has built for us." - Richard

Excerpt: Introduction to Hallways

I’m going to tell you a story. It’s not necessarily true, but it will help you understand the rest of this…

I am in a hallway, yes, a pale hallway where a thousand paintings span the walls, some are even nailed to the ceiling. Portals into another time, whole worlds of impossible exploits and abstract vividry. The canvases ripple, undulating in and out of windows… the world through a dreamer’s eyes.

Many people talk about me, saying I am a strange girl for visiting this hallway so often, I practically live in it. They’re not wrong, about living here, that is, not being strange; though I suppose you can decide that for yourself.

When I was a young girl, I was given this vast estate, an inheritance from the awe of my parents. They ventured into the other lands, exploring the many paintings. You see, time doesn’t pass in these other worlds, but you do. By the time they returned, my parents were old, though I was still a child.

They told me it was my turn to venture, my time to take the Earth. So, I do.

I love this place: oak-paneled floors, dust on everything…

I brush the edge of a photo frame. I don’t hold anything against my parents, the thrill of it all is quite alluring, and we all have our missions in life, plus, not all paths weave together as we wish them to, though I often meet them beyond the picture frames.

I love this hallway… Some paintings you can see through the eyes of another person, some you walk on your own, others have whole cities full of abstract bells and markets. My favorite paintings are the ones that are not places at all, rather a shrill swirl of moments. Where you’re surrounded by warm and cold, the smell of something wild, and colors that seep into your eyes like paint…

I don’t want to be alone in this. These adventures.

Maybe you can follow, read along these pages to glimpse the life I live, a thousand paintings on the walls. Yes, read forth and maybe, just maybe you can enter these planets, holding my hand and staring, mouth agape, eyes awe-torn… seeing through a creator’s eyes. How desperately do you want to lose yourself to the wonder of it all… in marvel a creator’s paints?

     Follow me…

     Welcome to my hallway.
